thorax assassin/mage: dual at level 9
virst assassin/mage: dual at level 12
crush assassin/fighter: fighter duals at level 9
magicus illusionist/thief: gnome multiclass
madtor thief/illusionist: mage duals at level 15
nemona thief/cleric:multiclass

nothing makes me happier than to backstab an enemy 5 times :)

Well, that are alot of thiefes.
Every party is good if you use it right.
But I don't think you should have that much thiefes,
just have 1 (or 2 if you want) thiefes or assassins.
Or take less people in you're party so you level up quicker.
Maybe a:
f/t multi
m/t dual
c/t multi
assassin

party

or any other option you like,
I think the game can be beaten with any party you like.
(but I tend to rely the most on mages, so a all fighter party could be hard for me)

@ thorax: hmm...I'm not sure if a specialist mage can dual class, though...can they? Well, if they can, then good luck with the illusionist/thief. Otherwise, why not go bounty hunter mage or swashbuckler mage--maybe not due to the X0 backstab (so that your party doesn't consist of multiple murderous thieves). Or your party could use a little help from enhanced bardsong...just a thought.

No party needs -bards- :p .

How weird would it be if your whole party consisted entirely of thieves and they're all sneaking up on an enemy, when all of a sudden one them spontaneously burst into song? :D

LOL, that remindsme of a very good impression someone (I believe Astafas) once did of a barbarian/thief. :D :D

I think it's pretty cool to try an all rogue party!
Go for it.

BTW, I love the idea. I think I'll try a bunch of backstabbers for my next game.

If your main purpose is to backstab, why not try a Stalker? Minsc makes a great Stalker.

You could also create a Stalker/Cleric. This would give you both the cleric and druid spells. While it limits you to staffs and clubs for backtabbing, the staff of ram is one of the best backstabbing weapons anyway!

Oh, and could you imagine the traps!
