Direct cd is an application of Easy cd creator which allowes you to drag stuff directly to the cd writer.
Never use it though, and it takes up RAM.

Can I remove Direct cd and leave the rest of Easy cd creator on my pc without probles?

Thanx in advance

In theory yes, easiest way to test it (assumimg you are using 98 if not I will extrapolate further) is to press start then run type in msconfig. Now you should get a screen with tabs on it, the last tab should be startup. Go to that tab, find the directcd and click on the tick (so it is off) then restart, if it still works without any problem drop me a line and I can tell you how to delete it entirely so it never bothers you again.

Hey MrSleep
Nice to see you again. :)
I had a feeling you pop up in here. ;)

Anyway, I had tried msconfig before and after resetting I got an advice to enable it again.
But I was thinking, that if I uninstall it, then I shouldn't get that message... but I'm not sure.

I know how to get it of without removing the rest of Easy cd Creator, but I'm not sure what the result would be. So I thought I'd ask GB's helpdesk first. :D

So you think that if I'd remove it, there should be no problem?
(Don't worry about beiing wrong, just let me know what you think please.)

Well there might be a setting in the program itself (easy CD creator) that turns it off at startup, but if you can't find one (check the help file too) then use the msconfig method. I have removed it in the past myself, in fact I actively hate the thing, it takes up way to much resource. So yes you can remove it without any problem, the only things you can't remove from start up is systray and explorer, the other things are up to you but Explorer and systray are the only things necessary for windows to work.

It's good to see you to :)
