Any budding game developers here?

I ask because I am a student at a college in California, and my goal is to become a developer. I'm currently majoring in Visual Communications, but when the Game Development curriculum becomes official I will be moving into that area.
The reason I post here is that I am working on developing a new site at http://www.uglybabystudios.com (it's not up yet) for new and coming developers like myself. What I envision as a starting point is the development of NWN modules, since much of what goes into the game development process as a whole is entailed in creating good modules (which is why there are so few good modules and so much crap, IMHO) and would therefore make good practice.
In addition, I do have a license for the Power Render engine, so that later on down the way I can sponsor at least one major development project through the site, aside from the NWN modules, though I must emphasize that I plan to do those first, once the site is completed.
I hope that there will be some response here, preferably from serious minds only. I'm very serious about development and see it as a means not only to entertain, but to put important ideas before the minds of the young, as well as others who play the games I work on.
If you are of a similar mindset, please email me at jason@uglybabystudios.com or post here. I'll check back and see what comes up!
Thanks!
