Does someone have small list of deities? (don't need them all)
I don't know what god Ambron can worship, some I know but most of them are unknown to me.

Thanx! :)

Well, there's the three major dwarven gods, Moradin, Clangeddin and Dumathoin. A minor dwarven god that might suit your character is Marthammor Duin, who deals with travelling. Or if your character values patience and strategy, you could use Red Knight, though he is not of the dwarven pantheon. There's others as well, but these seem likely choices.

@Arcane: What are you trying to show with the parentheses by your character's stats?

What do the Moradin, Clangeddin and Dumathoin gods stand for then?
Because I'd like a dwarven god.

Thanx :)

Karma was showing the ability modifiers to each stat. The modifiers are figured differently in 3rd Ed. (which NWN is based off of) than they are in 2nd Ed. (BG, BGII). Again, here's how it works:

Ability Score -> Ability modifier

4 -> -3
6 -> -2
8 -> -1
10 -> 0
12 -> +1
14 -> +2
16 -> +3
18 -> +4
20 -> +5
etc...

So a character with Str: 14 would have a strength modifier of +2. This represents that the character has above average strength, with +2 to melee attack rolls and a +2 to damage (among other things).

Moradin - Soulforger - smithing, protection

Clangeddin - Lord of the Twin Axes- battle

Dumathoin - Keeper of Secrets Under the Mountain - exploration, wealth, mining

This one sounds good.
But I'm not sure what is ment with Soulforger?

And why do I keep on thinking about:
"By Moradin's hammer!"
:confused: ?
Probably from BG or something...

LOL :D

BWT This saturday I'll be leaving on a holiday to Turkey for a week.
In that time, I wont be able to post.

I don't really know how to solve this, but perhaps I can enter the story later if it starts before I get back.
My character can keep to the back ground untill I can write for myself, but someone has to make my desision for me. Or he won't have any real imput.

What do you think?

You shouldn't miss too much. The first part will mostly be the party meeting up, though I had kind of hoped to get everyone involved at once. Storywise, it would have made more sense. But if your character can't join til later, it can't be helped.

I'll get the story thread up as soon as I can. It might take a while though, because my family's visiting and I can't really be typing away on the computer all day while they're here. In the meantime just keep the characters coming. Let me remind you all that we're not actually keeping track of experience once the story starts. So the number of spells a day you have won't stay accurate for long, nor will it really be possible to keep accurate. All I can ask you magic-users is that you use your best judgement when the time for battle comes around. But as an aside, no, level 3 sorcerors don't get level 2 spells.

Do you mind me shuffleing up some class abilities? What level are we starting at? 3rd(best!) I have an aasimar rogue/monk idea..... But I must know the lefel we start at or is that TOTALLY out of the level?

@Craig
So, your a monk too?

Sounds like we're getting a very lawfull group!

:D

A rogue/monk? Alignment-wise, isn't that mutually exclusive? :D I don't think it's a rule, but you better have a good explanation for this apparent contradiction. ;) But yes, we're starting at level 3. And what do you mean by "shuffling up some class abilities?"

A lawful group, huh? My, we're going to have some issues... :D

Yuor still thinking 2nd Ed, magey. Rogues are scouts etc, also untrained dirty fighters, my rog/mnk was "Brought up" in the slums of hule(made for mystra setting) and learned unarmed combat, then was trained with a monk. His aasimar lineage comes from his grandmum, only 1/8 he replaces some monk abilities for paladin stuff: Unarmed strike(I got that at first)<->Divine grace, Stuning attack<->Lay on hands, Deflect arrow<->Aura of courage. So he is equiviliant level 3(aasiamr/rogue/monk) that ok?

Oh arcane...I thought you got 3/2(3 0th 2 first?)

Craig, what is a Aasimar?

@Rob-hin: An aasimar is a human with celestial (angelic) blood.

@Craig: Did you just call me Magey??? Want to see your character spontaneously combust? :D

But seriously, I know the 3rd Ed. rules fairly well, which is why I said "I don't think it's a rule..." What I was saying is that the lifestyles of a rogue and a monk seem pretty incompatible. But you explain it pretty well in your bio, so I'm satisfied. One thing, though: I don't think your celestial heritage would be so apparent that strangers would cower in fear. In fact, I would think the opposite. Celestial blood provides a charisma bonus, so your character would likely have a strange magnetism about him, rather than a repulsion.

BTW, the perspective of your bio is kind of...odd. ;) Did you copy it from NWN or something?

Oh, and yes, I don't mind if you shuffle some class abilities, as you say. Just keep in mind that it's a tradeoff, and you won't be as good of a monk if you're also concentrating on developing these powers.

Technically, in p&p, you'd even have a substantial experience handicap. But I'll be nice. ;)
