In the hive, you can take a cobble stone out of the head of a zombie\The Post. Can you use that later in the game? or what. I have played through the game a coupple of times, with the stone constantly in my inventory, but I haven't been able to use\give it to anyone. What is it?
Please answer me, it's so frustrating!

It has no use. Throw it away.

nope, no use, but you do get a load of exp. when you pull it out of the post's head.

Yeah that's true! It's actually quite weird, you get xp from removing a stone from a zombie's head, you don't even have to have a special amount of wisdom\intelligence.

I think the reason you get XP for removing the cobblestone from the corpse's head is because by doing that, you're "helping" the mistreated corpse. I know it's just a game, but mutilating corpses is not a nice thing to do. The game tries to teach you that lesson early on, and if you catch on, it rewards you for it.
It's too bad you can only pull a rock out of its head instead of something valuable like coins.

Yeah, like some of the corpses in The Mortuary. I just love walking around, searching the zombies\skeletons for easy xp\money\items, Mmmmm.......

True. If nothing else, that opening dungeon teaches you the virtues of remaining perceptive.
