Ancient or classic?

I remember the days when you could sit at your computer and play games like Lemmings 2 and UFO, and things were brilliant.

Now-a-days you have new fangled graphics, beat-em ups and all sorts of things.

Are these old games lost for ever, or are they still playable?I know for a fact UFO won't, it neds 16 fat :(

Dow e need to move on or make gold editions?

I votes for the second option. Classics are classics adn they can be forever if we just boost up the graphical details to todays standards.

BTW Lemmings 3D WAS a great mistake!!!

i'm between the first and second options. some updating is necessary to keep the games playable, the originals are often fine, free to download, and still fun. and lemmings 3d was class.

Classics rule!

I think that the classics are jus great (I'm talking about not-so-old classics) - which is why I like the continuation of series such as Monkey Island, Space Quest, Quest for Glory, Ultima - though sometimes the new versions tend to upset me for all their dazzling graphics and occasional lack of gaming feel (for those who've played the rest of 'em series).
I always wonder what happened to Eye of the Beholder - I used to love that game.
