I seem to have some sort of problem on my computer, and here's one of them.
I ran Norton Diagnosis, and got a message: Error detected at address 221777920.
I don't know what to do with this problem. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
ps. I have single 256mb DDR Ram.

Could be just a dirty contact between the RAM slot and the module itself. What other problems are you having?

Well, one major problem is it's erratic, particularly loading time. It suddenly stops (as if thinking...

), then starts again. Sometimes scroll up/down stack, regardless the program and number of program I'm opening.

Could be related, but first what programs are you loading on startup? If you've got Windows 98, ME or XP run MSCONFIG from the 'run' command on your start menu, go to the 'startup' tab and check what else is running.
What OS are you using?

I'm using Win 98SE.
Sorry, I meant "loading whatever the program or pages", and not at the startup. It takes time to load at the startup, but I think it's no more than normal (I have quite lots of staff, like Nortons, Zone Alarm, MS Office...) Something like "Turning pages in Acrobat Reader" is pain.

Trouble loading applications or data is usually a disk access problem not memory. If you've got a recent version of Norton Utilities (and it sounds like you do), try running Diskdoctor and Windoctor over the system, they can often clean up many software errors.

Okay, thanks.
It could be one of my drives is getting too old. I only use it as storage box (downloads, backup etc.) and no programmes in it (not even a game), so I might just replace it.
