Mail of the Dead Question

I killed the Llyich in the first dungeon, and there was no Mail of the Dead when I searched him. I started a new game and there was no chainmail. Has this happened to anyone else? Is it some sort of a bug? Thanks in advance for any comments.

ya could have dropped by mistake....its identified so its not blue...like the sword the githyanki drop after you whack them, it does not show blue, so you have to pick up and right click to get descriptor on it...

I know what it looks like because got it off Llyich in the first game I played months back. It all of a sudden when I start a new game its not showing up.

I have no idea what your problem is, but you could always just import it with CLUA Console if you really want it. Item code is chan03.

I get that same problem some time it show up some time it do not, but i noticed it kind of depend on where u kill him, which i find odd but *shungs* must be a bug

Actually I've killed him in many places but still no Mail Of The Dead, maybe a late patch took ti out cuz it was too powerful? Then again why do that but not take out the BIG +6 weapons and even out the game more?

Same thing has happened to me, a darn shame if you ask me, Its a good suit or armour early on for a lot of chars

Well, I don't have a sollution beyond ShadowKeeper or CLUA, but I can tell that it wasn't taken out with a patch.
I have all of them installed and never had any problems with it, not as yet.

Me, too. Patched everything I could, and still got the Mail of the Dead in both games I started since.

I have had this prob in the past, not on my first game but on the other few thousand games ive started (i CANNOT decide on the best character
). Anyaway, the mail of the dead always seems to appear on one of the other Duergar in the room, as well as some extra gold and the acorns. I think it's a bug but thats what happens

Ok update on this for everyone.
This bit of code is the problem right here:
ActionOverride"DuegarClanChief",TakeItemListPartyNum("IMPORT01",1))
What that does is enable Ilyich to switch one of your imported items with the Item chan03 (mail of the dead) , so it looks as though he was carrying your stuff. Sometimes it does not work right, I am not sure why, and he ends up carrying nothing, not even the CHAN03.
