I have both IE 6 and Netscape 4 installed on my PC what are the ramifications if any for doing this. I experience quite a few crashes now and again relating to outlook express and php sites quite often crash, i was wondering if these crashes might be related to me running two browsers.

You're using Outlook Express for your email, right? You might want to disable the mail functions in Netscape; they might be fighting over resources or both trying to be your default email client at the same time.
I'd also see about upgrading to a newer version of Netscape.
I had both IE5.5 and Netscape 4.77 on my old machine and I never had any problems. Of course, I also use AOL for mail so the browsers weren't fighting over email functionality.

I had forgotten about the mail functions, i hardly ever boot it up only when i am testing a page or something, so unless it tries to influence my comp seruptitiously then i can't see why it would be the mail.
I kind of need the old version for my work.
You might be right i suppose, i will check.
