Can I change the character who is doing the battles. I mean if I got 5 ranks with my barbarian can my cleric start all the other ranks and still attain battle mastery or am I stuck with my barbarian?

Also has anyone actually attained all the ranks. I'm having alot of trouble defeating some of the creatures at my current lvl(most of my party is lvl 10) and I've only attained 5 ranks.

Also is there actually a point to becoming the battle master, besides the loot?

Whomever sets the levers is also the character that gets chosen to represent your group.

I've not defeated all the levels. I suspect you can come back later, which makes sense--after all, there are creatures in there that would challenge much more advanced figures than could be expected in the Ice Temple at that point.
