how can you make items in eltooras lab? i have brought the tome of life to eltoora, but she nor her assistant is willing to make item(s) for me. i have tried placing the needed components to the chest in the middle of the room but nothing happens.

You have to place the items (often a magic item and a reagent) in the chest then cast a spell on the chest. If you read the tome, it will often say something like combine a [insert magic item (boots, ring, etc.) here] with a [insert reagent item (skeleton knuckle, diamond, etc.) here] and expose them to [insert spell (lightning bolt, stoneskin, etc.) here]. The chest will flash and you'll get a new magic item.

Thanks! i didn't notice that i have to put a spell there too.

Each time you bring a Tome of Imaskar to Eltoora, a new note will be placed in the bookself near the chest that you use to create the items. The note let's you know of the exact reagents you need to place into the chest and what spell is reqiured to be cast afterwards.

I haven't had a chance to try yet but can you create the same item more than once?

anyone having problems with following the directions and not having it work?

i've brought 1 tome back.

enchanting worked great, put in the stuff cast the spell light show, blam blam - new magic item.

then i went out and got another tome,

put in the stuff, cast the spell - poof nothing.

(highlight to read exact ingredients)

tome of resonance: fenberry + silk gland then hit chest w/ lighting bolt.

I guess you could create the items more than once, but i haven't tried it.

@koz-ivan, i have created all the items without problems. Have you tried it more than once and i didn't work either??

I managed to create only once. Second time I even got damage from chest.

i made the first item, did not try to recreate that item.

but the next time i try to enchant a different item it does not work,

the text scroll reads that i am casting the required spell, then nothing - no spell visual effect, no new item.

care to spoil me here or via pm as to the chapter 2 items that can be enchanted? i'd hate to miss out on some really cool unique items, but if it's something my char can buy in the store i may just do that, and try my luck some other time.

i'm wondering if there is:

a - glitch in my game that won't let me construct the resonance item.

or

b - if you can only enchant items at one time...

Okay this is probably a dumb, question.....is this the only place you can make the items you find reciepe's for? My fighter has two reciepe's for items not that he would ever be able to make them, but anyway.... are there other places, like the "cauldren" you put the ingrediants in to access the tower in Chp 2? Also. does anyone have a list of the items created? Thanx

Btw did you managed to create the items or you still have problems with it.

Does anyone else has problems with creating the items??

i never was able to construct that item, i'll do w/o i guess, and i've not yet recovered the other tomes to see if i can construct any of the other items.

it just occured to me that i have never cast that spell in the game either, i'll have to test it away from the lab.

You can only create each item once. Also, I believe you need to give her the tome before you can create that item. Merely finding the tome probably won't allow you to do anything.

update, 2nd item (resonance) still will not construct,

but i can cast that spell away from the lab, and found the tome of ice and was able to follow those instructions to enchant the third item.

must be a wierd bug.

Since it's confirmed that you cannot create an item twice, something must have went wrong the first time and the item spmehow "dissappeared" and you are no longer able to constuct it.

Have you tried to reload the game before that to see what happens?

i've tried reloading which was a pain since i had to go further back then i would of liked, and had to redo most of the druid stuff, to no avail.

oh well, could of been worse.

Could it be possible that if you already have the item, even if you didn't make it in the lab, you can't make it again? I thought of it earlier but really didn't believe that this would be the problem, but I can't think of anything else, because I know most of the wizard lab items are available as random treasure from chests and such.

No this should not be the problem, i've already had with my a ring of Elemental Resistance when i created another from the Tomes.
