Last week I jokingly threatened to delete the DF Tavern, which has now amassed in excess of 4000 posts and is probably a SYM record. Deleting this post would reduce post counts for a number of people as follows:

Now I WAS joking – though I thought it would have been a fun thing to do and just sit back and watch the fireworks *evil chuckle*…hmmm…maybe an evil deed that even Weasel would have approved of!

Well publically I received a couple of votes to go ahead, then recently I have received PMs from more than one individual pleading I delete this epic tavern. How cruel are these SYMers?

So. I thought to put it to a vote – I don’t want to be remembered as that woman who ‘fixed’ the board

What are your views? Personally I don't mind losing a few posts, but this could be catastrophic for some, well at least those who care

*sigh* if only I was as evil as I try to convince some I am, I could have just gone ahead and done it - it would have been much more fun But no, I will put it to a vote - just to see

Huh... I think you should'nt do it... While I dont care that much about my post count its always sad to see SYM history go.

Just get a mod. to close it.

Whereas I am actually attracted to idea of deleted it, I sort of think it's a nice piece of SYM history too. I do however think it has become monstrous, so I think asking a mod to close it once and for all, would be the best alternative.

I find it funny that people actually have asked you to close it down!

@CE - LOL! These are evil people who obviously want to revel in the dismay of those that would have to reach their already attained milestones again of course they should be publically named and shamed - and probably lynched too, but it is obvious I am too kind

Off the top of my head, A-c would have to hit 1k again, Ty 2k, BS 5k (though he might be safe now) CE 5k, Georgi 10k etc etc.

It would have been fun in an evil kind of way to have just gone ahead and deleted it - to see who really did care

But one way or another, I think it is probably time to close the doors

If you feel like deleting threads im sure noone would lament the loss of the 'how to post a poll' thread though.

LMAO! Dottie is right, if you feel like thread deleting, that is a better suggestion.

Whereas I don't normally care at all about post numbers, it struck me that Georgi 10K looks so nice now when she is away...don't delete it. Close the doors for restoration, and open a new one!

@Dottie - LOL! Ok, that might hold me back until Monday perhaps this desire to delete threads will have me ranked next to Sleepy for his desire to close them. Remember I only joked, it was the others who wanted it wiped from SYM history - honest!

It was suggested by the others that I could open a new one, like it would make me feel better I think there are a fair few bars around at the moment, a virtual pub crawl is tiring enough right now Maybe some other time, unless there is a great demand for it - but who cares for the title or starter of a bar thread? It is the company that counts

I admitt the company account for some part aswell. Well, You know my opinion about "The Evil" sym population.

Actually as an independent I never want to cause great turmoil, yet an evil spirit came by when I slept last night encouraging me to ask yee to delete it anyway

I really dont care. My post count makes me look like too much of a SPAMmer. I dont care what the number is-aslong as it is above 1k. Some people take pride in their post count. I dont.

Hey, I say close it...the reactions alone of all those bereaved posters would be payment enough. Added to the fact that I've never been tempted into posting there, and...well I say "Go Ysh!!!"
