Naughty boy!
You should take that option as it will have consequences later in the game.
Then, just for kicks, reload and select the "Whoa, lady, slow down, you're going too fast." option to see her reaction.

I couldn't resist testing that option out. So I quicksaved and got to talking to her. It goes like this:
"So does this mean we'll be going to bed soon?"
<Trumpet fanfare sounds and your journal updates>
"I'll forget you said that sir."
From then on she doesn't talk to you. I thought it was cold even for Aribeth but meh. What's hilarious is how the trumpet fanfare sounds as if to say "You scored! Oh, wait, you wuz shut down!"
So her response to that seemingly hilarious comment is anything but funny. It's just downright cold. My recommendation? RP a romance with Linu. She's softer on the eyes and... friskier if you know what I mean.
Haven't tried the "Whoa, slow down there girl!" option yet.

Sorry, I was confused.
I meant take the "Yes, I value your friendship" (or whatever it was) option.
I didn't remeber that 'going to bed' had been an option - wish I had tried that one.

Linu is too ugly to romance (I didn't know Elves could be that ugly, in fact, they aren't supposed to be). No offence to ugly people dont get me wrong, but for romances in computer games they really should of made her at least average looking (she is an elf for crying out loud!).
I am romancing Sharwyn and I like her character (not just her hot portrait). I don't know why so many people find her annoying. She isn't stupid or evil or melodramatic goodie goodie. She is a perfect character to romance IMO (however you shouldnt try if you don't have at least 1 Rogue level, or so I have heard).

Just to add something, Linu looks like she is an old granny.

I actually really don't like Sharwyn. Her personality is completely dry and I don't find her very charismatic at all, which is stupid for a bard. When you first meet her she goes on and on about whether you're just gawking at her or actually want to hire her. I remember saying to her a few times. "What makes you think I'd want to hire YOU?"
Not melodramatic? Her whole stupid story (*minor spoilers*) was completely stupid. Each part of it was a complete cliche and utterly shallow and without depth of any kind. The last story she tells is decent, only it doesn't count because she tells it and wasn't part of it. Then she sends you off on that stupid quest to find a song. Talk about boring. That stuff with her mother? Typical. That stuff with her boyfriend in the city of Amn? I was at least hoping it'd be related to Raealis Shar/Haer'Dalis and company at the Five Flagon's Inn.
As for looks? She's not bad. Nice bust and the makeup does a lot to bring out her eyes. But the look in her portrait looks as if to say "I don't have a thought in my head."
Now, the thing that makes Linu that much more desireable is that SHE DOESN'T TALK IN MONOTONE. Ahem. That's right ladies and gentlemen, she can actually *talk*. More going for her include her whole personality, her playfulness, her hilarious bouts with luck and unluck and, well her ability to be actually USEFULL in combat.
Be honest, how many of you guys were actually using Sharwyn at the end of the game. Or more to the point, how many of you were actually NOT using Linu, Daelan or flying solo?
And she does not look like an old granny and I personally don't find her ugly at all! No more so than say, Jaheira (although Aerie and Vikki take the cake when it comes to really hot elven chicks...).
I honestly believe that romancing Linu is the most viable points in the game and should have been more of an option than send-me-to-sleep-Sharwyn or (*shudder*) Aribeth de Tylmarande (a.k.a. "I am the lady bartender", it's an anagram). At least Aribeth is gorgeous. I mean, who wouldn't want some of that? And then of course, she opens her mouth: "I am lady Aribeth de blah blah blah."
No wonder no one took the "So does this mean we'll be going to bed soon?" option. Even if she didn't chastise you for it before the fact, you'd want to hit the mute button after the fact.
Seriously, stick with Linu and if you don't find her portrait overly good looking, at least her avatar isn't half bad!

Whats an anagram?

An anagram is where the letters of a word (or words) can be rearranged to spell something else - i.e. bear-bare, step-pets, shut-thus.
