Hi, im new here but im really stuck with this problem and i need help, so if you can give it, thanks.
After defeating Yaga Shura, one of my characters was totally killed (ie, his portrait was no longer there) and the rest of my party was just dead, apart from me. I returned to the pocketplane and summoned Cernd to replace the character who was totally killed, and i did some leveling up and sleeping. Then, as i left the pocketplane- only I actually left- Cernd didnt and when I arrived back in the realm, he was nowhere around and now I cant find him at all. The game will not let me remove him from my party, I have tried using the killing cheat and it doesnt work.

This may be a problem that others have experienced, so tell me if i am recycling a thread, but if you can help- thanks!

Try to summon him with CLUA console. If that doesn't work, see if you can summon him again with the pocket plane. If that doesn't work...well, maybe some other members can help me out... :o

Oh, if you don't know how to use CLUA (I assume you do, since you say you used a kill cheat), do a search of the boards. You'll find plenty of threads telling you how to use it.

@thebaron:

Firstly, welcome to the Gamebanshee Forums!

Secondly, did you do any Shadow Keeper editing while at the Pocket Plane? If you had, it will result in one or all, depending on your party, of your friends being left behind.

I had the same thing happened to me while SK'ing stuff in the PP, and searched all the boards and forums to no avail. The only thing to do now is to revert to an earlier UNEDITED save. This may necessitate you repeating the same battle (which was what I did at the Yaga Shura camp).

The moral of the story is, don't do editing while at the Pocket Plane!

Thirdly, to use the CLUAConsole, do the following. First, open the baldur.ini file (found in your BG2 main directory) with Notepad (or your favorite text editor) and look for a heading labeled [Program Options]. Under this heading, type "Debug Mode=1" (without the quotation marks) and then save and exit the editor. Start your game in BG2 and, once you're in the game, press the key combination CTRL-SPACE to activate the console. Then, enter the command you want exactly (this includes capital letters as necessary).

Helpful hints for commands can be found in the sticky "BG Reference Crossroads" above.

Good luck!

Oh dear, that is unfortunate. :(

If you don't feel like replaying the game from scratch, perhaps you can write to one of the mods at Bioware (especially Dave Gaidar) for help.

I sure hope you didn't have any of the "improved" battles.

Actually, druids are *quite* powerful in ToB... ;)

There is nothing quite powerful about druids, they rock!Espacially after the leap at level 15. A high level totem druid is one of the best classes in the game :D
