This is all I can say...
...that MikeDike and his posse wouldn't last a day in this forum... they'd get banned faster than chikittafastpaws...

Generally we would prefer if links to other boards were not posted or are instead placed in people signatures, but since this one is an official forum and concerning NwN it is okay.
I think the most precise and accurate statement in that whole thread was:
"Please Do Not Feed The Trolls," said Mort Q. (32 year old Teacher), all pompous and gay.
How very true...

I think that was a great example of why I don't wish to buy NWN. I'm pretty sure that 80% of people playing online are like MikeDike...
What is the experience of some of the people who have been playing NWN online for some time? Is it full of power-gamers or are there still some people who RP left?

I hate online gaming, I've had and seen similar situations. LAN all the way
I would love to try NWN in a LAN situation, guess I should get the game soon.

One doesn't have to join a powergaming server necessarily, you could try and find a more mature set of players.

agrees with sleep. I would think the NWN forum here would be a great place to find online players. I believe the bulk of members here would enjoy RPing or at least following a certain code of conduct where you don't kill everyone you see.
However, such an Internet game would require someone hosting and password protecting the game. That's what I'm involved in currently. I would think the persistent servers would be a drag because of people like MikeDike. Whether or not this perpetrator does as he says or is just trolling, such players do exist and make up a bulk of the community. Most people dont get it.

That was a fun read!
I wanted to go and flame him, but they'd closed the thread. *sighs*
Though now I'm more concerned than ever about playing NWN online

I think one has to already own a copy of the game to register to post, what is worrying is some of the posters they have there that own a copy for all the wrong reasons...

Are you sure about this? It says so on the site yes, but I registred and I have posted there once or twice, and there was nowhere where they actually asked me to type in the CD key.
