I used to play it but I've quit after I discovered Warhammer and Warhammer 40k. My budget couldnt support both

I stop with that insanity/addiction two(or three) years ago IRC. But the cards are somewhere in the old suitcase.

I used to collect them (I didn't play with my friends, since we were too lazy to learn the rules), but I think I threw them out about 2 years ago. I think I might start collecting again, though.

I spent $5 on it, and still play. I caught on a while ago when it was going out of style, and got into it for cheap. A pretty fun game that I play whn I can

Why don't you sell 'em? You can get a fair price for most cards.

My wife and I enjoyed the game for a bit when we first discovered it--perhaps eight years ago. But then the need for WotC to sell endless cards got out of hand, the balance among the five suits was completely destroyed, and we gradually lost interest.

I think it's kind of unbalanced.
The game can be fun and all that, but players who spend the most money on good cards "always" wins.
But this is from someone who has never played it, so correct me if Im wrong.
I tried the PC game but it didn't really care for it.

If you can still find it, the old Microprose standalone M:TG was kinda fun. It played like an RPG, but they never ironed out some of the rule bugs. On the other hand, there's a neat recent game called Etherlords that plays like a combination of Heroes of Might and Magic and Magic: The Gathering, with your characters purchasing and upgrading cards, which they play in battle against opponents on a 3D screen. The game really looks great, and plays well.
