First of all, if you clicked on this thinking it was some thread devoted to NWN porn, shame on you!

One of the recipes with the Tomes you seek for Eltoora involves a quartz crystal, a skeleton knuckle and the spell Mage Armour which is supposed to yield an Amulet of Natural Armour +3. I am playing a combination Ranger/Wizard with a specialty in Evocation magic. Unfortunately, this means I cannot cast conjuration magicks, which is the school that Mage Armour falls under.

My question is this: is there any way I can get this item? For some of the other items, I have cast the spells from scrolls, but the game won't let me even use a Mage Armour scroll. Am I SOL or does anyone know of a workaround for this?

Yes i clicked in the hopes of finding porn material and Shame on You!! i couln't find any . :D

I am not sure about this but since your class is a bit (how shall i put this ) strange .. You could add a Rogue level and invest all of your points to "Use magic item" skill . Maybe that would help . You could get sneak attack aswell which is very useful.

My problem is that I'm nearing the end of chapter 2, and I am a level 15 character (Ranger 10, Wizard 5) so adding a level as a rogue will result in the XP penalty (and I'm not so desperate for an Amulet of Natural Armour +3 that I'll take a level in a class I don't need; besides, I found an Amulet of Natural Armour +4 somewhere else).

So how would a non-spellcaster make use of Eltoora's magical chest or are they just out of luck?

From what I have seen they are just out of luck. I have never been able to do any of the Tome stuff, played a fighter then a monk. So I would say that there are just parts of the game that not everyone can do. Only class specific people can do it.

Cast a shadow conjuration and set it as mage armor. its a illusion spell so youll be able to use the spell and it will count as mage armor

Kender

You can give a Kender a magic item and teach then to use it but once it goes in their pocket you may never see it again!
