Go to www.gamespy.com and register with them. Download the Gamespy freeware.

You can then set up a multiplayer game (use a password to lock the game to stop people dropping in)

You need to go into their BG2 forum and click on create game. Here you will be able to create six characters. When you have created all the characters you wish, (or imported if you prefer) you will need to assign control of the characters to yourself. (It will make sense when you are in there). Click on the ticks beside each character to activate them.

When you are finished click on 'done' (making sure you have the BG2 CD2 in your CDRom drive). Your game will now start.

Once into the game save it then exit the game and come off the net.

Using windows explorer locate your save game in your BG2 directory MPSave file. Copy this game to your usual save file.

You can now load up your multiplayer game offline and in single player mode. :)

BTW Welcome to Gamebanshee :)

If you want to create your own party , just hit multiplayer then "connect" (even if you dont want to connect to anything" then start a new game , youll have 6 slots available to create whatever you want.

My answer is the long way around, I know about the click multiplayer and connect bit but many (including myself) have been unable to create a multiplayer game this way due to ISP/connection option non-compatibilty... :)

i was lucky enough to do the "simply press the multiplayer" way...... so i could start my 3 members party adventure...

:D :D :D If you can just manage to get a few girls in the first place the guys will come by themselves. You don't even have to call them - just make sure to place one of the cuties near a window and put on the music on a high level.

Well, you can try to frequent bars and nightclubs - if you have an adventurer's guild hall in your town, that's another good place. Oh, and wizard's colleges, if there is promise of magic items.

If your lucky, you can convince them that you and only you have a chance to complete this adventure, and it will be more likely with their help. Then, they should join the adventure.

After an adventure with someone, if you have been charismatic and wise, they may decide to keep hanging around. Now you have a party.

Of course, high adventure is probably not too likely in places with internet connectivity; in fact, the Earth is a bit short on adventure these days. "Offices and Bankers" is not a very fun game.
