i am playing chapter2 atm and have several questions:

i found a well in a cave with the option to dive through, didn't get it how to.

i found two journals and several letters as proves but it is not enough -- is there a listing where i can find them?

there is a mine in front of luskan i can not enter.

i can not enter luskan, do i have to finish the other quests before?

i walked all areas and finished all quests (left some optional i think) but i still can not continue.

To get through that well, drink a potion of endurance (pretty sure it's constitution related to make the dive). Don't worry about it on the way back, you'll get through fine.


I think the mine might be for later in the game...I never found a way to enter it.


To enter Luskan, you'll have to gather up enough evidence to go on (and talk to Aribeth). You can get evidence in the Charwood, Neverwinter Woods, the caves just north of Port Llast. Also, if you frequent the Alliance Arms Inn, you'll be able to get some out of there (three mini-quests - starting with Solomon). There's also a few others around, can't remember them offhand.

Being a dwarf, and having a high Con already. I made it through no problem. Only thing was that my henchmen didn't make it over. So i had to recall and drop him off, go back, swim across, Recall pick him up and then go through the door.

The mine is part of a sub quest. It is one you get from Kendrack (sp?), the guy in the barracks. He tells you about some escaped convicts from Waterdeep. The mine is where the last of the convicts hide, and you have to catch all the others to activate it.

There are several clues from the cult but you need to find at least 2 of them that contain information about the Cult's location.
Spoiler - Highligh to see:
One clue is the journal of the cult agent that is location in the Realm of the spirit

Another clue is the journal of the cult agent that is located in the haunted village of Charwood

Lastly as some point you will be attacked by another agent i think somewhere in the North Road area, which he is called Vardoc and drops a valid clue as well.

Kendrack will give you the key for the mines but only after you have found 4 of the escaped prisoners. The fifth and last prisoner will be located there.

You can continue to luskan only after you have uncovered the location of the cult by bringing clues to Lady Aribeth.
