Short question: Can i make my henchman pickpocket?

No. In fact you really can't make your henchman do much of anything. The henchman system used in this game is nearly exactly like that of Fallout w/out control of their inventory.

hmmm
thats actually one of the things that turned me off (momentarily) about NWN. The fact that you have almost no control over your henchman really bothered me my first time through. (in chapter 1 at least) During the prison riots when Tomi would run off on his own and try to take on 6-7 guys, and the fact that i couldn't do anything about it (sure you can click on *stand your ground* but that doesn't last long) really bugged me. Oh well, good thing the quality of the gameplay more than makes up for a few bugs.
