Okay, this is a really large long shot, has anyone ever had a windows protection error that stated VKD as a reason....thanks anyone, this one has me foxed.

No problem, it would seem it is virtual keyboard driver.

As for sorting this computer.... :eek:

I've seen a few of these before. What's the exact message you're getting?

It was initilisation error VKD:
windows protection error: You

Seems that there was some corruption on the hard disk that led to a problem, this customer installs a printer which seems to knock things out...oh well back to the drawing board (ergo Format ;) ) The comp was fine and he installed something and then it screwed up, story of my tech life :rolleyes:

That's the way it happens here too. It's called a PLBDAC error.

Sorry to dissapoint, but it's fairly sedate:

Problem Lies Between Desk And Chair.

Nice way of saying very bad things about end users.

How very true, this isn't the first time either ;) So how good are your end users on average?

LOL - gotta remember that one.
Can replace my "Error 40" I usually use (the error is 40 cm. from the screen) :)

Umm, for the most part I wouldn't trust them to open a can of sardines that was already open. They are the reason I have a job. Sad, but true.
