Rahvin

I am confronting Rahvin on my way to Sarevok. Can't seem to get past him and his goons. Anyone have any advice?

I was able to go around him and dispatch the girl that ask me not to kill Sarevok. I have entered the house where Sarevok is located, with all six of my men. Would it help killing Sarevok if I go back and kill Rahvin?

Hm... well, I haven't made it that far yet, but I'm pretty sure Rahvin is the leader of an Iron Throne mercenary party that wants to kill Sarevok, right? Well... one thing that might help is sending someone in stealth mode or under the effect of an invisibility spell to scout out their exact location, then once you know where they're going to be, reload and slowly walk up as close to where they currently are as you can without actually revealing them on your game screen. Then take anyone that can cast Fireball or packs a Wand of Fire or Necklace of Missiles and have them blast the fog of war with fireballs until the lot of them dies. Somewhat cheap, but it'd probably work.

I think the only benefit you gain out of killing his group is a little extra experience before you take on Sarevok and possibly some powerful magical items. I believe Rahvin drops some Arrows of Detonation. If you could kill him before he gets a chance to use them, they might come in handy in the upcoming battle. Other than that, though, I don't think it really matters if you kill them, since you should be at the experience cap (or at least at the highest level your characters can obtain) and have the best equipment around anyway. *shrug*

If I remember right is used stealth,invisibility I guess...and oh yes FIREBALLS!!! Try shooting them to a dark area just next to the evil ones from a safe distant. They aren´t supposted to be visible to you! Just launch the balls and check if anyone died then rest to restore the fireballs,shoot again and check...you got the idea. I can´t recall if they come at you,I don´t think they do and also if I remember right they don´t even heal their wound even if you rest. Happy killings :p

Greater Malison followed by Hold Monster make them easy prey. Skull Traps and Glyphs of Warding ("Holy Hand-Grenades") mess them up bad. The Mage isn't too difficult to kill. You need to watch out for their Arrows of Detonation, though, so I suggest that you give one of your characters 100% resistance to fire (potions, spells, items, and scrolls all work) and use him as bait to use them all up (they only have three). You also need to watch out for their barrage of magical arrows and the ogre's morningstar (he's bad), so I suggest that you immoblize the ogre and the archer first. If they make their saving throws against Hold Monster, a Cleric can cast Doom and Hold Person on the archer, and you can have one of your Fighters lure the ogre away from your more vulnerable party members. A strong Fighter can stand toe-to-toe with the ogre if you use Haste and a Potion of Giant Strength. If he can't, then I don't know why you think your party can beat Sarevok. :)

You can also avoid the encounter completely by walking way around them.

I'm sorry to hear that you killed Tamoko. She's not evil (she's Neutral); in fact, she wants to save Sarevok from his evil ways because she's in love with him. If your Reputation is high and you refuse to fight her, she will see that you are not like Sarevok despite your evil blood, and she will realize that Sarevok has made his own choices and dug his own grave, and she will leave, disgusted and broken-hearted. I think it's very sad and very touching.

But if you kill Tamoko, don't you get a fullplate+1 then?

Well, sure, if you want to act like a bandit and kill people because you want their stuff, go right ahead. :)

She has Full Plate Armor +1: Plate of the Dark, a Large Shield +1, and a Flail +1. Personally, I prefer Full Platemail with a Ring of Protection since it also gives your character a saving throw bonus, but any armor worn by an undead Warlord of Bane has to be cool, and it certainly looks cool.
