I try to run a program but apparently an error window popped-up saying ^^^^^^(program name) caused an invalid page fault in
module MSVCRT.DLL at 0177:780102ba.
What is suppose to be the problem ? I've tried to reinstall the prog and still encounter the problem. Frankly I'm really tired of this installing thingy

There's heaps of things that can cause this error. It usually occurs when a program overwrites that file in the \windows\system folder, and you should be able to solve the problem by copying this file from the windows install cd.
Have you installed anything recently? If so, what?

Actually I'm not certain about what program being installed recently since my lil bro also got access to this PC

But I remember the last prog I installed was Total Annihilation Kingdoms.
I'll check the Windows Install CD foir the files, hopefully copying the file can fix the prob. BTW does reinstall windows can fix the prob too ?

It should do, but it's a bit drastic.
The file can be found in the following .cab files:
Windows 98: Win98_55.cab
Windwos 98SE: Win98_63.cab
It also comes with Internet Explorer 4.0 and 4.01 and can be found in the .cab file ie4_1.cab

Thanks guys.
I've tried to copy the dll from win install disk and still got the error message.

Seems like my registry got too many trash which require cleaning first. I'll see what happen if i clean the whole reg first. Could you recommend good prog for reg cleaning ?

Norton Windoctor does a fiarly good job. You can download a 30-day trial of it
here, although it's a fairly hefty download.

Thanks for all the reply guys ! I've managed to fix everything now. It seems the program uninstall didn't clean up everything. I've managed to delete it manually. After that I reinstall the prog and it works fine now
