Aerie : form of cheese
Apon speaking to a friend several days ago about tob and the sickening amount of cheese that can be invoked (as per the ninth lvl mage spell : Cheese contingency and other such abilities, sunfire springs to mind...)
I heard of an incredibly cheesy and amsusing strat for mage clerics, if this is common knowledge please forgive my complete and total ingorance. I told my friend of my failed attemps to wack fire giants with Aerie and her spiffy new staff of the ram needless to say the fire giants werent impressed and preceded to chop Aerie into small peices wich they then ground into sand and so on and so forth until resurection was just not an option if you whine to much and run out of spells when my Harmless unasuming chaotic evil barbarian and his innocent and gentle companions, korgan and searavok have just faced about six fire giants and theres six more chasing viconia around that machine thingy while Edwin was pretty much doing nothing, having run out of spells hours ago on acount of the fact that I really hate resting.. where was I? Oh yeah, I was getting quite the beating when I remembered why Aerie was even in an evil party. Cannon fodder! quick everyone lets all run away and not tell Aerie (lol I bet you REALLY wish you could fly now) so Aerie is Promptly turned into Avariel paste (id already used all the other non evil npc's in hopeless tanking missions aside from jan who resides comfily within my pocket plain, all magic items and valuables heaped at his feet in tribute!
At any rate, I was speedily told that Aerie could wipe out my entire party in mellee combat, refusing to beleive this I was quickly showed an incredibly Cheesy strat that does litteraly turn Aerie into an Automaton of death and destruction and while its probably not as good as some of the put this that and the other spell in this that and the other contingency press enter and laugh merrily as a lvl 1 bard kills five hundred of each boss in the game at the same time (Is that over the top?) but its still incredibly funny to watch Aerie dealing out sound whoopings in mellee
Ever see the Dialogue, I think it happens in the Kill torgal quest where Aerie asks if you have any tips for combat?
Aerie : Do you have any tips for combat?
PLayer Char : Yeah, just do this....Place in chain contingency (enemy sighted) : Regeneration, Champions strength, globe of blades.
And contingency (enemy sighted) : Rightous magic
Minor sequencer : Armour of faith, draw apon holy might
Sequencer : Holy power, Blur, mirror image
Trigger : Tensers transformation, Improved haste, Spirit armour
Be sure to have The girdle of Furtitude special ability cast before begining.
Before seeing enemy, cast improved alacrity followed by black blade of disaster then cast the
sequencer, the minor sequencer move into range of enemy quickly to allow contingencies to fire then
cast spell trigger. Have fun!
