Smart Beholders

Ive downloaded the "SmartBeholders" file and were going to copy all the files to my override, but when i pressed the extract
buttom, i was asked if i wanted to replace old (!!) with the new...

I cannot remember that ive installed anything like before..
So i wonder, should i simply replace them?

Yes, the Zip file holds new AI scripts which replace the old ones.

AI scripts tell the enemy character what to do in different situations, like the scripts you can give to your characters.

Hmm, dont really know what u mean. I dont give my characters any scripts...

you can give your npc's scripts in the record options.

But that wont EFFECT the game will it??

jerion, you are already running with scripted npcs...

the game gives each char default npc scripts, which tells them to attack with ranged weapons and only attack meelee if hit.

the smart beholders will replace the idiotic beholder tactic of shooting rays even at chars protected by cloak of mirrors or shild of baldy, thus committing mass suicide all the time. now they use their spells more and will attack hand to hand more.

Try the BeholderHiveUpgrade that Xyx made together with
the improved beholder AI.
VERY difficult!
