Can a fighter with a speciality in becoming a wizard slayer use rings, helmets, robes and boots?

i noticed he can't use potions, but what can he use that goes in his item slots?

i love to know that my character can use the ring of regeneration, the boots of speed, ring of ganaxx, etc.

thanks

no only wepons and armor that are magical but if you have tob you can dual to a theif and when you get high lvl abilitis chose "use any item" and then you can use anything like rings and boots. And you get a little nice magi resistans

Alas, the downside to the WS effectiveness is his inability to use potions, scrolls, boots, rings and amulets. Rather annoying really. But it's compensated with the innate magic resistance and the ability to dispel magic in one hit. Try the kit out, it's pretty useful. Difficult to solo though.

Well...

You can use Boots of Speed (and most other fighter-type boots, too) and the good helmets - but not IOUN stones. Rings, cloaks, necklaces and potions are right out. About the only early item that can go in a quick slot is the rod of resurrection - some specialty items will go in later on (see spoiler below)

In your quick items, you can use the holy water from second Bodhi quest, brine potion and mind flayer charm collars (actually, some patches prevent that), rod of lordly might, rift device from the Unseeing eye quest, nuts from the tree of life - that's about it. Oh, yeah, you CAN equip the piwafwi cloak in the underdark, it's the only one you can wear, and you can wear the Harper's amulet, too (although it actually serves no prupose)
