Fed up getting licked! Tried everything but my elves get mashed. Is it OK to come back later when I have levelled up a few more times?

The fight with Greyanna is maybe the hardest battle in the game. You can try to clear the First Cellar and gain a few more levels before visiting the area with the Freth Drow and Greyanna. Also the drow always try to attack the elven party members since they hate them.

Thanks Demis, but I have finished the first Drow cellar - apart from Greyanna. Is it possible to go to the second cellar (and perhaps further) and return at a later date without missing anything? btw, where in Greece r u?

You can venture down to the other levels if you like, there are different locations in each level to do that, and gain some more experience but eventually you will have to face her in order to reach the last catacomb level.

Check your PMs.

The best thing to do is to go and do the rest of the other 3 catacombs first to gain more experience and then return to deal with Greyanna. By the time you return she is no match for you. You also get more powerful weapons in the lower catacombs and hopefully a few moew levels.

Ok this battle maybe hard but not impossible even without clearing the other catacomb levels first. I believe that fighting the fight early when you first reach the first cellar provides more challenge and fun. If it is too hard then you can come back later when you become more powerful but you don't necessarily need to clear out the other levels to defeat her.

The only, and i mean only way i was able to defeat her was by continually using confusion spell to keep those damn archers at bay while i hacked at them. Give that a try if your sorcerers have that spell.

I found that when u clear the prison level u get a nifty staff which basically kills the archers in one hit !! doing 100 plus points of damage, the charecter with it goes for the archers. mass suggestion also works pretty well in taking out the aracats

This is the Sacret Staff of Light (+7 & triple damage against drow ) and basically kills every drow with one hit that stands in your way but you get it after the fight with Greyanna. After you find the staff things are easier with the Freth Drow.
