But SYM is not going to be a forum for the bashing of any group. If someone wants to congenially poke fun at a friend's nationality, etc, that's one thing. But to discuss, even in humor, the supposed hatred of Americans for Muslims or something similar is out of bounds. There's just too much chance to wound people unintentionally, as has occurred here, in the past; and it serves little purpose.
No offense meant to those who wanted to start such a discussion; I'm sure your motives were pure. (Well, not pure; you're SYMers. But good.
) However, I'm sure you can understand that we all have hidden sensitivity buttons that do not need to get pressed by accidental slams.
