Maybe it's time for you to stop using SK, and try getting the stats you want the NORMAL way, unless your riggin it, but my best by re-rolls was

18
18
18
5
14
18

You should be able to get something like that too without SK or cheatin! Or if worse comes to worse, just uninstall ToB until your done SoA, I have ToB now but I ain't intsallin till I'm done SoA

Are you sure you installed the ToB patch from BioWare? Because this is a very common problem with people who have ToB installed, and it was fixed by the patch.

hmmm

i just dont think its because of SK... i have windows XP and because of that when i initiate dialogue (at least when i try to) "xxxx appears busy" in red font. so i downloaded the patch, and i still have the expansion and SK.. ever since i installed the patch, its ok...

Yes, this is a common problem for Windows XP users. The only other things I know of to fix this problem is to un-install and re-install the game, including the necessary patches, and update all the drivers.

I think it is because ShadowKeeper is only applicable for Shadows of Amns, I think we should look for ThroneKeeper, if there such a thing...

BTW, is everyone busy, or just a few? Maybe you should rest, or load into another area. I had a problem with the pirate horn and Saemon as well, but once I have left the area, rested and come back, all is well...

The most recent version of ShadowKeeper is ToB-compatible.

Dear fellow posters,

Ok, I know this post is old, but I seem to have the same problem. The only difference is that I have a new computer and I have deleted saved games but it still hasn't work. Even the golem from Chapter 1's prison won't talk to me because he 'appears busy'.

Could it be the fact I play multiplayer with 3 made characters (nothing altered)?

Or could it be I paused it too long (sometimes I pause the game for hours because I thought of something else to do and forgot about the game)?

I have uninstall and install again, but the golem still won't talk to me. I have probably restarted about 5 times by now and I am pretty frustrated as well. So please help poor little old me, if any one can, I am sure you guys can.

Could you tell us exactly what you've installed, for starters? What mods, what patches, and in what order?

Just to make sure, did you install the official patch?

I'm going to repeat what has already been said:

This is a well-known bug. It affects players who use Windows 2000 Service Pack 2 and Windows XP. It only affects Throne of Bhaal on those two operating systems. It was quickly identified and fixed in the first Throne of Bhaal patch.

You can read about the problem at Bioware's site: http://www.bioware.com/games/shadows_am ... s/#npcbusy

You can download the patch at: http://www.bioware.com/games/throne_bha ... t/patches/

The patch WILL make the problem go away.

It has nothing to do with ShadowKeeper or your character's stats or whether you've been cheating. :)

Sorry guys for reading this a little late, I need the sleep. Anyway, I will try to get the patch and hopefully I won't have to hassle anyone anymore. I just have the TOB installed with SOA and that's it. I don't even have SK because it is a new computer I am playing on.

Thank you so much peoples :D

rahvin, using sk to upgrade stats works fine, but the EASY way to do this...hehehheheheh

(oh yeah, like id ever edit a game, or hack it...giggle...)

is to make sure you have in balder.ini file a line under [program options]

"Debug Mode=1"

this allows you to cntrl-shift-8 at char creation sheet and get 18 for all stats,,,,

it doesnt sound easier than using sk, until you realize it can allow you to do all sorts of fun things....like cntrl j, for example...

(teleport to any area in map)

or

CLUAConsole: ExploreArea()
