hello all, i've just killed the big bad guy in watcher's keep (avoiding the spoiler) and promptly returned to the top of the keep to talk with the Helmites.

when I get there, i get stuck in this weird dialogue which is clearly buggy. it goes like this:

Odren: You return, we sensed the lower vault had been breached, what has occured, did you not cast the ritual?

Me: There's no more need for your ritual. Your imprisoned one is dead.

Odren: You destroyed "big bad dude", how is that possible?

but instead of giving me a chance to reply, it says "NO VALID REPLIES OR LINKS" and clicking on that ends the dialogue. something's not right--did anyone else run into this? I've emailed interplay but haven't heard back yet.

also--note that i haven't actually started ToB yet; still in SoA but wanted to do Watcher's keep before finishing SoA. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I experienced this with Yakman, and was able to resolve it by having another party member talk to him. Do you have the official patch? This may fix the problem too.

thanks sojourner, didn't work when having other people talk to Odren, nor when I put others at the front of the party for him to automatically talk with. I'm downloading the latest ToB patch; or did you mean SoA patch? will keep the group posted.

Sujourner must mean ToB. After all, thats where WK is.

thanks people, the patch didn't work but there was a patch on baldurdash which did the trick! now i'm off to fix my jaheira romance...
