I had installed throne of bhaal and have been playing it for some time until it started kicking me off of the game and then it wouldn't even let me play the game because of an invalid page default and a bunch of other really annoying stuff....what kind of patch do I need or do I even need one to fix it..... :)

I assume you have the the Official Patch (if not, DL) ... could you post the error messages?

Since the game had been working and the preformance degraded over time. Did you modify any of the internal hardware or install and software during this period?

A page fault for me would cause me to check the memory I have installed, is it possible you had the memory upgraded?

just some ideas...

I didn't think about that but I did try to get into my memory and change it but it had no effect and the game after I uninstalled wouldn't let me install it at all...I would get half way through the install and it would kick me right back off or say a page fault or something along those lines..

(I have beaten both games with three different characters so if it doesn't work I know what happens so it isn't as bad)

I would reseat all the memory you have installed making sure no dust bunnies are in the DIMM/SIMM slots.

Also run scandisk on your hard disk to make sure it in working order.

Also make sure the drive you have assigned the BG/BG2 Swap file isn't too full, if you designated 150MB or more memory to the swap file you must have that much on the drive available.

Worst case scenario would be a reimage of the unit which should clear up the problem if software related.
