I've got a cold and don't feel up to going out.
Can't even handle crying in my beer in BS's Tavern of Neutrality.

Maybe I'll just have to settle for watching the Olympics while lurking in The Men's Room.

It does seem that weekends around here are better left to lurkers, doesn't it?

And what is wrong with my tavern???

actually, BS, nothing is wrong with your tavern--I've simply got a touch of the flu and anything even hinting of alcohol does not sound too good to me right now

I just want everyone to feel sorry for me tonight

Well getting falling down drunk usually works, and besides, if they still don't feel sorry for you, you can barf all over their car

It usually ain't THIS dead on Friday night though. Maybe they are all avoiding me again.

Sorry to hear about your cold, @VoodooDali. I think you should watch a very good, old film, preferably with subtitles so it has a chance of causing culture shock. While you're trying to figure things out or figure whether you should bother, you'll forget all about your cold. Hey, works for me!

Even better is to try watching foriegn films, preferrebly a murder mystery without subtitles. Favourite pastime when on holidays, forget about your cold, just tell me what's the deal with the guy in the bowler hat, is he with them or against them?

Yeesh. You post on here to help somebody else who's sick and complaining, and they just run off to bars until all hours of the night and stand you up. Isn't it just so typical?

Well I went and passed out from the flu or cold in Bloodstalker's Tavern, and he held my nose and poured some bizarre concoction of Ned's down my throat.

I do feel better, though...except for all those damn bunnies following me everywhere.

And no, VoodooDali is never somebody. VoodooDali can be a red spoon and a moment of time after all clocks have been removed, but mostly she's VoodooDali.

You all may think Friday nights are ho hum, but Saturday nights are worse!
