The Happy, Flirty and yes Fuzzy Valentines Thread!

I know Valentines Day is past, but well, I just got back from a trip and hadn't had a chance to post recently.
I see that we have some people, dear to me, who started a thread bashing this wonderful day. Clearly Valentines Day lovers, like myself, must shower them with annoyingly drippy poetry and emoticon hugs until they see the light.
In the background is heard the tinny sounds of an overplayed song:
My love is deeper than the deepest ocean, softer than a dove... and there is nothing in the world that can every change my love...
(There's more where that came from. Weasel showed me the sight, and I've bookmarked it. Be afraid.)
For all those with hope and love in their heart, yes even for those evil heart's among us, let's share some stories of those happy days.

Has anyone had a Valentines' Day so wonderful that they smile about it still? Has anyone met and married the love of their life? Or maybe just clicked eyes with that love across the room?
Why do I care?
Well, I have something to share. No longer can I let Viv flirt as she has...I now must act with dignity and some bit of self restraint. It will be hard, I know
Because this Valentine's Day, I became engaged

Congratuations! On behalf of all of us here at SYM . . .
Run! Run from the light! Quickly!
Our best wishes to the bride-to-be (and the groom as well, but as everyone knows, he's really not that important).

You'd better get whatever action you can before the Zoo Rules (ie-No Petting) go into effect for Vivien.

LONGER
--Words and music by Daniel Fogelberg

Longer than there've been fishes
in the ocean
Higher than any bird ever flew
Longer than there've been stars
up in the heavens
I've been in love with you.
Stronger than any mountain cathedral
Truer than any tree ever grew
Deeper than any forest primeval
I am in love with you.
I'll bring fires in the winters
You'll send showers in the springs
We'll fly through the falls and summers
With love on our wings.
Through the years as the fire
starts to mellow
Burning lines in the book of our lives
Though the binding cracks and the
pages start to yellow
I'll be in love with you
Longer than there've been fishes
in the ocean
Higher than any bird ever flew
Longer than there've been stars
up in the heavens
I've been in love with you
I am in love with you..
PS : I'm out for today, see ya all

No, he's not a SYMer

He's from here and I actually work with him. I met him when he came to fix my computer (He works in IS). I've always had a soft spot for computer geeks, plus we play side by side games all happy now

Thank you for the congratulations
Here you go:

(The other smilie wouldn't work, let's try this one)
HLD:
ROFL!!!!
Yes, the 'no petting' will be hard to follow, how did you know I viewed the male's of SYM as pets in a zoo?

Oh wait! You meant the other way around!!

*hug* Thanks

You don't have to envy me, as we all find our other at some point... Though I am, of course, still in shock from the proposal, so this could be adrenaline talking
Don't you hate it when women shove their rings under others noses as if the size of that is any indication of anything other than money? That's why I have started fleeing when they grab my hand to yank it into the light
Kid:
*claps in approval* Very appropriate song! Sufficiently sappy

Thanks

Viv - my warm congratualtions

I hope the two of you will be very happy together...and re Valentines? Well, I have always been a non-romantic - so imagine my horror when my other half (soppy!) also proposed on St Valentines Day (seven? years ago now). Almost two years married, I received a Valentines card (as ever) - but forgot to send one (as ever)

He is very understanding....

*takes Vivien aside to try to talk sense to the poor woman*
Vivien. My sister of the Order of the Dark Flame (event though I'm trying to kill them all, but oh well

). Your fluffiness disappoints me. Why can't you just let us bitter cynics drink ourselves into a stupor peacefully. Why must you interrupt our Karaoke of Despair with flower-strewing cupids. Ick.
Congratulations on your engagement. I hope you will be very, very happy forever and ever

*hug*

I concur that he is one lucky guy. I hope he appreciates what a truly warm and unique person he has as his fiancé.
…not being a warm person my own damn self, that took a lot out of me

. I’m going to have to be extra evil for the next day or two.
