i can subscribe myself to a forum, why should i do that, nothing chances (or nothing i've notised)

I'm not sure what you mean.... please explain.

Just like i said, when you can see all the treads, just under new thread, you can subscribe to the forum,

I believe that subscribing to a thread allows you to receive email notices when someone posts in that thread

Yeah, but I think he means what happens when you subscribe to a forum. I'm subscribed to SYM, but the only difference I've noticed is the fact you can see who last posted in the forum when going to your "user cp".

Yep... Thats what happens.... It crashed me email the other day when I received 600+ emails in one sitting....

Ouch Hmmm remind you of someone else??? Does subscribing to the forum notify you for every thread in it???

Well, I've got that option turned off in my profile, perhaps that is why this did not happen to me.

My conclusion, profile setting overrides subscribing, yes?

I'm actually suscribed to each indiviual thread I have posted in, thus receive notification everytime a new post is made. did you know SYM accumulates over 1500+ posts a day!

I dunno, perhaps he want to know whats going on around here...probably not though (as an excuse, it's been a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong day)
