Hi. I haven't played a dnd based game in a while and I was never too familiar with the mechanics..

So here's the question.

What attribute(stat) determine the THAC0 of crossbows? I vaguely recall that it is actually strength that determines the chance to hit. Or is it dexterity?

All missile weapons (bows, crossbows, darts, slings and even throwing daggers) - Chance to hit modified by dexterity, no strength bonus to damage unless specified by a magical weapon.

All melee weapons, including daggers and fists - Chance to hit and damage modified by strength.
