Worked on the final battle for half an hour, with Ascension installed, constant pausing to make sure I know whats going on, and when I get Melissan down to Injured , with yaga and send still running around, she arbitrarily pops a finger of death that kills my main.
Needless to say I'm not touching the game for a while.

Don't give up Merkidon. I am still trying to end my Ascension game so that I can get on with my life

You have to kill the minions(Yaga, Sendai etc.) first or she can never can be defeated.

Well here's the best part..when you cut off the first pool..you're *supposedly* immune to death magic =p

This seems like an appropriate place to hide whilst several despicable types in "Speak Your Mind" plot to cut my ears off.

I had problems with Sendai --fighting for a long, long time. I finally killed her, which made me rather optimistic and cheerful about the future; but at that very moment the future appeared: Melissan bringing along some minions other than the well-known. And I hadn't touched Ilassera yet...
You see? It could be worst...
