The mod makes it harder?

Tell me, will the mod, ascension, make the game harder? i hear you must beat the dreaded abizagil again, together with several other strong people, and abizagil alone is enough for me, with the patch that makes him harder.
Is it even possible to solo the mod?

The mod makes it harder and better imo.
Very hard if you solo.

I've already installed all the improved fights. does the ascension mod affect these or install over them? The readme says it only affects the game from Balthazar on. I'd like to keep all the modifications I've made so far and play with the mod.

Ascension doesn't change Abazigal, sigurd, though if you're struggling to beat him you'd need to play through the last battle (with Ascension installed) on Normal at the most.
@Luther - Ascension replaces the Improved Balthazar fight with a version which has a less cheesy, and smarter Balthazar. It won't affect the other Improved Fights.

Well, i will give it a try.. I really hope that the final boss was improved, since the only really hard fight i had in the game was abizagil.. But that was in a team, solo will be different..

I think you'll find that Ascension is the hardest fight in the game.
