Cave of the dead

In the cave of the dead How do you get into the center room at the top of the ladders? Where is the key?
To get up the ladder click on the bottom of it. You might have to move only 1 character at a time.

You get it later from Saemon Havarian to get to Balthazar, if you don't take him up on his offer to get diguises for him to smuggle you in.
