It's hordes of underdark module


I am using a greatsword +3 and I am geting a 'weapon ineffective' messages. I quit playing and reload from the last time saved game, but every time I get same results. What to do?

Who the hell is it?

He is character in hordes of underdark moulde, chapter first, in Undermountain North.

Aribeth, just a thought, but is it the message of greater stoneskin and you just have to keep hacking through the skin?

Well, he's a caster, and casters have many defensive spells that protect them from melee damage. These spells can be dispelled, or waited out until they wear off. Look at the feedback panel at the bottom of the screen, it shoud say something like "Olgin Blahblah - damage reduction, X points remaining" which will tell you how much more damage he can absorb. Depending on the spell, you may just have to wear the magic down, or possibly find a weapon with higher enchantment, but I think +3 would be sufficient when the magic fails. Certainly no sense in reloading as this is not likely to be a bug but a legitimate spell.

I finally defeted him. Load again, attack him before he canst some armor spell, after some time I teleported to Gatehause and return when I rested. So I defeted him, and now I reach Second chapter. Thanks for suggestions.
