Hello everyone, I'm a newbie.

I've a question: I've finished ToB yesterday but something bothers me: I've read that we can at least reach 8 000 000 exp points but when I finished the game, I was only 6 000 000... am I missing some quests or else???
In the previous baldur's game, I've always reach the max experience points... why not here ;)
Thanks.

PS: Jaheira is just too cute when she's in love !!

How much party members did you have in you're party?
When u solo you should reach the exp-cap easy, but with 6party members it takes 6times as long

I've six people in my party: Me (fighter), Keldorn, Valygar, Anomen, Jaheira and Imoen : there were just a few difficulties here and there but nothing too serious... I just wanted to know if it was possible to reach the experience cap with a full party.
If not, then that's too bad ;)
Have a good day.

Welcome to GameBanshee. :)

Bioware wanted to "effectively remove the XP cap" by making sure no-one would ever reach it. A very good solution, I think. Level cut-off is purely artificial anyway, and only for game balance.

Thanks a lot... This game is the greatest I know (well in this category...).
Now I must see the end with Aerie and Viconia... two new adventures hahaha.... :D hours of pleasure ;)

Have a nice day :p

go to eduardo in saradush, you know, the mage defending the walls, and equipp party with many ranged unlimited ammo wepons, like gesen bow. talk to him, and your party will start firing at firegiants. keep them up htere for a few hours, real time, and have your pc do some small quests. 8000 exp per giant, and someone worked out it takes about 90 sec real time to kill one. something like 1 million xp per hour or so.

One factor to consider is that when you get different NPC's they "come with" some experience which you have not had to earn. I don't know what the triggers are for getting different NPCs, and what their maximum exp they can bring with them when they join, but for many it is in the 800K to 1.2 mil range, this is just free exp if you manage things just right.

This can mess up computations of maximum exp in the game - I had a party of six which I tried to get at their maximum EXP, soloing the early stages of chapter 2 and then getting them after I had built up some EXP in the PC. I also did quests, but did not collect the "Quest EXP" rewards for them until I got my full party together, because it seems to me that the "quest Exp" award will be doled out to each character in the same amount no matter if there are 2 or 6 characters. Doing these things I was able to finish SOA with about 3.75 mil exp per character, but I still did not reach the cap in TOB ( I did not kill fire giants from the saradush walls or kill infinite duergar in the Sendai enclave)...However I did get over 7 million average per character, about 1 million for each NPC was free EXP as outlined above.
