Persuasion Overhaul and Grey Fox

I am using the persuasion overhaul and I want to do the grey fox quests. The beggar is hard to convince with persuasion as the persuasion overhaul makes persuasion very challenging. So that is one solution to wait until I have a high persuasion, though I don't have it as a major or stealth focus so it would take a lot of effort :( ... My question is if there is an easy way around this problem.

I tried bribery, but with the persuasion overhaul I have to cough up 150 gold for 1 point of regard. I think if I boost my personality or speech it would go down (again a repeat).

My idea now is to look for a scroll of charm as unfortunately my illusion skill is rather low.

I think your two primary options are to either do as you suggested and come back to it later, or disable the mod for now if it doesn't make your game unstable. I'm not familiar with Persuasion Overhaul so anything I suggest might not be viable for your situation.

Have you done the Dark Brotherhood quests yet? The reason I ask is that the Warrior's and Mage's guild have rules against stealing and murder while the Thieves' guild has rules against murder. They only look at if you do these things after joining, not before becoming a member. You can work on the Dark Brotherhood quests while building your persuasion skill here and there without having to worry about focused persuasion grinding and should be pretty far enough along after doing the Dark Brotherhood quests that you can talk up the beggar. You also get some clothes along the quest chain that help with persuasion as well. It's not a huge bonus, but it might help a little. Also, if you do the Dark Brotherhood and maybe a couple of gates you should have plenty of gold for bribing should you still need it.

There are lots of options, but that is one that should work as I don't think there are many mods that greatly alter the Dark Brotherhood quest line so is usually safe no matter what mods one has installed.

Thanks for the suggestions. I forgot all about the dark brotherhood and now I am a member of the thieves guild. Well I think the three guilds will be enough for my 'run' through oblivion, as I am trying to beat all of the games I have played but not completed.

I did figure it out. For the beggar I saved the game until I got two persuasions in a row. Then I figured out you could keep giving beggar one coin for one regard per try up to her max disposition of 45. That was enough to come in range of a charm scroll from edgar's discount scrolls. Basicly a similar thing to convince the guild leader who meets you in the garden of the waterfront.

Its kinda moot because OOO is very hard to get to places without getting killed so I will have to level up a bit anyhow, power up.
