I got the map from the prophet, now how do I find these shrines. I must have missed something. He gave me this map but it doesn't seem to relate to anywhere. Do I go to the churches or what. I am just wandering around. I have played this game before when it first came out but i think I did something wrong this time.

The shrines in question are the ones scattered around the countryside, not the ones in towns.

The first one I usually do is the one ENE of Brina Cross Inn. This map should help you. Note that you don't have to do the shrines in any particular order, or actually the ones on the map you were given by the prophet, but you do have to visit a shrine of each deity.

You have to go Morrowind on them and find them without nav-points. At least it gives you a map this time instead of directions that are vague at best. If you look online you should be able to find specific maps that will point out each of the nine shrines in great detail.
