Playing only ToB, low items---

m playing only ToB, not SoA in the same game as I heard you could, but then I won´t have the chance to get many of the items will I?
Like I won´t be able to upgrade Carsomyr, and I feel it is hard to get some good items.

I feel I have some lousy armors, but it can be that it is just me and that I haven´t made so far yet.

you do miss out on a lot of items by just playing TOB, but there are so many good things to get that it really can be compensated easily. instead of carsomyr, there is another holy sword, but this one is a bastard sword. and you can buy +3 weapons everywhere.
you'll be fine, just might make it a little more challenging...besidea, you can always CLUA in whatever you want

You miss out on some very good items, not exactly "indispensable" but close, if you have not done SOA before you do TOB. You can always just cheat them in. Carsomyr is actually not one that I would use, though. I think it is great in SOA, but by TOB it loses some of its effectiveness because the dispel is too weak for the mages you meet. I actually ended up putting it away! The magic resistance is nice though.

This is some stuff I would definitely miss:
Good Weapons:
Mace of Disruption +2 (vs. undead)
Flail of Ages
Crom Faer
Blackrazor

Armor:
Dragon Scale armors

Shields Helms Boots:
shield of harmony
Helm of Vailor
Boots of speed 1 more pair always helps

Other:
Bag of Holding, Scroll cases, Amulet of Power, Robe of Vecna, Ring of Protection +2, Cloak of the Sewers, Girdle of Hill Giant STR, Bracers AC 3, Rings of Regen, Ring of Gaxx

There's more but these are things that really make a difference.

Note it all depends on what characters you're using.

The Robe of Vecna: that's what I would miss, but then I tend to play magical types, either pure or multi-classed.

Well, I am a mage, and I started with some equipment, like Flail of Ages, back of holding, shield of harmony and boots of speed, and alot of other stuff.
But I miss the rope of vecna too...ehh, how do I use the CLUA thing?

Go to your baldur.ini file and add a line under [Game Options]:
Debug Mode=1

Then in-game, press CTRL-Space and type:
CLUAConsole:CreateItem("????????")

where ???????? is the code of the item. For example, wa2robe is the Robe of Vecna, sw1h51 is Celestial Fury, etc. You can find a complete item list at [url="http://www.gamefaqs.com/computer/doswin/game/30662.html"]http://www.gamefaqs.com/computer/doswin/game/30662.html[/url] Hope this helps!

you have to add the line under [Program Options], not [Game Options] as Kameleon wrote...

Oops! Good point Xyx I forgot the Staff of Magi...Well I did say it was SOME equipment I would miss...

Well my debug line is under [Game Options] and it works fine - I think it can be either. You write " with Shift-#, which would normally be a ~, that's what I found to work, but an american keyboard might have a still different mapping. If you really get stuck copy it from a text file and paste it in with CTRL-C and CTRL-V.

Hej Foss.
Brug Shadowkeeper i stedet - det er meget bedre. Jeg synes i hvert fald, at det er nemmere.

Don't worry - they're just hitting on each other. In their own personal code. Am trying to decipher to find out how to talk dirty in Danish :D

I understand that one. It says:
Many thanks. I'm using it too now.

Actually I can't talk or write in danish but I can read it pretty well. Danish is very much like swedish IMHO.
