I am having troble killing the chromatic dragon within watches keep. I have tried many times but still dont suceed...PLZ HELP

I am still in chapter 2 and have characters still on level 12 and 13. I have also read all of the other forums of how to kill it and i still cant. Nothing hurts it except for my mabey 1 or 2 points of damage every hit or so....and thats all. What can i do without using cheats.. PLZ... someone has to know how

You mean the chromatic demon at lvl 2 in Watchers Keep?

I might simply be that you party is too low level. Most people wait until they are about lvl 20 to take on Watchers keep.

However, if you really want to beat the demon now, I advice you to take him out with spells and missile weapons. He has something 95% resistance to physical damage, so you won't be able to deal out more damage that 1-2 with weapons. So summon creatures, keep your distance, and attack him with missiles and spells. Optimize your spells and missiles depending on the form he is taking.

I started a similar discussion a couple of weeks ago and have the link below. Oddly enough, I too, called him the chromatic dragon in the title of the thread. weird. anyway, it seems most of the problems I had were because I changed the difficulty setting to insane and had a tougher time getting rid of him than in the past. There is a ton of useful knowledge in the thread.

Hi.
If u r talking about the shapechanging demon in the cage, use magic/weapons on it that do either fire, ice, acid(slime) and lightning(air). As youll notice these are the same as the rooms on this level. Each form of the demon has the same weakness as the room it resembles. When it is the Balor, use cold, when it is air element, use fire, when in shambling mound form use lightning and when in ice golem form use acid and voila! down in no time
