Can't overwrite or delete saves

I've downloaded Vampire: TM - Redemption from GoG.com and I'm running it on Windows Vista, but I can't overwrite or delete save games. This is a problem since it gives me 20 something save slots for the whole game, let alone replays. If anyone has anykind of advice or solution it would be appreciated. Cheers
