Post by Sergio1992 »

CAn somebody help with this error? I've got a quad core with a nvidia 9800 gt and 4 gb of memory, so I don't think it's a pc issue. But I still don't understand why I get this error..

Ok, I need more than just the little bit of information that you gave. For instance, are running this game on a laptop or a desktop? Second, I need to know your operating system and whether it's the x86 version or the 64-bit version. Last, I need to know what causes these to pop up, whether it's just starting the game, or in game, or what.

Thank you for help. I'm running the game on a desktop with windows 7(64 bit) with the 7.3 unofficial patch installed + the camarilla edition mod. The error appears when I try to start the game (it loads and seems like it's entering to show the logo but then it abrupts brutally and this error appears).
I also modified the hex engine because I had the problem related to source engine related to the memory. :P

The memory fix is already included in the Unofficial Patch, if you re-changed it, this could be the reason.

I will try something and let you know. ;) .
Anyway I installed the fix for the memory only after the error appeared ;) , and not before.
I did like that:
1- Installed the game.
2- Installed the quest mod, + the camarilla edition and the patch included
3- Tried to open it ---> the error related to memory appeared
4 - I modified the hex engine with a patch I founded on internet.
5- "could not load cl_dlls\gameui.dll engine error" appeared while trying to open the game.
6- I came in these forum to have help :P

You can try to find the .dll's through like google, and adding them into your game directory. That may be the easiest solution.

Otherwise, you may have to reinstall the game. The order that I choose to install things, after the game, is the unofficial patch, then follow on stuff, like mods, etc. You may want to skip the Camarilla edition mod. Or else copy your game, right after install, and make that your test bed for the game.

Done! IT works. Now I've got some questions: Is there a max to my unarmed skills? I mean, can I have 25 points on it?

I believe the max for all the right hand skills, talents, etc. are maxed out at 10 each. However, they can go higher with different items in the game, as well as what clan you are.
