lost companions

I am in a cave in Ashwood forest and all of the sudden my companions disapeared. Will i get them back? What happend to them?
If you mean the Ashenwood in MOTB, then your companions aren't supposed to disappear. You might try going back to an earlier save and see if that changes anything.
