Building things

Post by Dee Em »

My players have indicated that they would like to be able to build or pay people to build structures or some sort of fortress. does anyone have some sort of skeleton mechanics for this?

There's a book called the "Stronghold builder's guidebook."

It's a 3rd edition book but considering it's solely about the buildings itself, most of the rules can be easily updated to 3.5 with little worry. Not sure about 4E though...that might be a different story.

I've found it to be very useful considering on more than one occasion I've had people acquire a stronghold or want to build one; while I don't like the feat that just outright gives you money to have a stronghold (I prefer to adjust my campaign to their needs and give them the opportunity to build a stronghold on my terms), the actual fortress's and schematics are very well done.

It goes you, the dirt, the worms inside of the dirt, Popo's stool, Kami, then Popo.
