Vista Mono Audio?

I have a little movie showing planned with friends, but Vista managed to ruin it a bit. I am using a single guitar speaker, which only outputs the left canal of the laptop.

What I am looking for is a software solution.

I am trying to get Vista to output all audio in mono, but I can't find the option anywhere in the sound options. Does anyone know how to get this done? A registry hack, if all else fails?

As it turns out VLC player can force mono also. I'll just do that. :)

other options

or you can go into control panel, then to the sound and audion devices, then in the volume tab go to advanced in the speaker settings box and switch it to laptop mono and that should work too

.. except that entry isn't there for me. Trust me, I looked into that. Almost all search results point to that, but I can't change what I don't have. :)

The VLC fix worked well enough, we had a fun time. Guitar amps have good bass. :)
