This problem has occured for a long time. I bought Oblivion GOTY for Xbox 360 retail disk and Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine DO NOT download. This is really pissing me off because i exchanged it for another copy of the same game and still it has yet to download. I have tried everything to get it to work; Date and Time, re-installing it, making new files, and exchanging it for a completly new game. I do not have Xbox Live so i cannot just buy it off the Marketplace. I need help because my head will explode if i cannot play the game that i bought... Twice.

If you're on the 360 it may be a disk read error, I had the same problem the first time I tried to install it. I eventually fixed it by turning off the console for a few minutes then trying it again. If that doesn't work and you can still play other games you may just need to call the support line.

Retail disc? You have two options, I think:

1) Contact Bethsoft's technical support. They have a forum online, I believe.

2) If you do 1) quickly enough, and don't get the kind of help you need, you can always return the disc.
